Apron Dress with silk hem and handmade embroidery

A woolen apron dress is the basic element of clothing for women from the regions of Scandinavia. A warm and comfortable apron will be perfect for historical events as well as every day.

It is sewn according to a simple, early medieval cut, with four parts widening downwards. The apron is lined with natural silk in the selected color and is decorated with hand-made embroidery. The dress is fitted at the bust, it looks beautiful tied with a belt or selvedge.

FABRIC

The materials are resistant to washing and the quality of the seams ensures that the dress will last you for many years. The fabric is selected individually for each order after consultation. After the purchase, we will determine the specific wool that we will use for the project.

SIZE AND COLOR

The outfit is made to order in a color that you can choose from the menu. Due to the large rotation of wools and the endless possibilities of shades and weaves, the color selected from the menu is indicative.

Sometimes a color may currently be pending, in which case we will ask you to change your selection or wait longer.

Choose the correct size from the menu based on the dimensions in the table. Also, choose your height from the menu - it is necessary to adjust the length.

If you don'tknow which size to choose - choose "custom size" and in the comments to the order add your measurements: height, bust, waist and hips circumference.

The actual fabric color may vary due to light and different monitor settings.

WASHING & CARE INSTRUCTION

• washing in temperature 20C/30C

• wool clothes can be washed by hand only

• do not use bleach or stain removers

• no spinning (it is damaging for seams and fibers)

• hang in the vertical position to dry

• to keep the look, it’s best to iron clothes inside out, up to 120C (one dot)

Slav Medieval Shop sews this historical outfit in three basic standards of detail work:

I – Outfit is sewn with the machine – all stitches are made with the machine, pattern of the outfit is based on the historical sources, according to its description on the site. Internal stitches are finished with overlock, visible stitches are sewn by machine

II – Invisible stitches are made with the machine, all visible stitches are sewn manually.

III – Whole outfit is sewn manually with very strong stitches – strongly based on the archaeological findings.

The belt isn't included to the dress.
