Vking two-piece linen apron with natural silk and handwoven trim
- The offer includes the apron dress only. Please read the product description for size, material, and other information.
Product information
This early medieval linen apron dress or Pinafore is one of the possible designs for a Slavic or Scandinavian woman. Its origins are based on analysis of archaeological finds and medieval iconography. Traditionally, additional accessories were worn over it to emphasize social status.
The apron consists of two pieces, connected at the front by brooches throung the loops. Due to the linen material, we recommend using the small broches, as heavier ones will not stay in place and will weigh down the apron.
- The authentic early medieval cut gives the apron a classic, straight line that flares beautifully from the waist.
- The rectangular front panel is adorned with natural silk in the same color as the apron color.
- The top is adorned with a handwoven 100% wool selvedge.
Beyond the early Middle Ages, it could also be worn for LARPs, Renaissance fairs, medieval markets, stylized photo shoots, and weddings.
The product is machine-sewn, with edges overlocked in our workshop in Otwock, Poland. Each piece is made to order.
