Early Medieval Birka wool caftan
- Viking Noble wool coat with a linen lining from Birka. Made to order.
Viking wollen coat (kaftan) made on the basis of finds from Birka - Swedish trade centre.
Style borrowed from the study at http://histvarld.historiska.se
It has two wedges on the sides and one on a back, making the circuit on the bottom bigger. Slightly tapered sleeves are sewn at right angles, with square underarm wedges, so they do not constrict movement. The coat can be done up with 8 buttons made of bronze (based on archaeological findings).
