Slavic linen harvest dress with wildflower embroidery
- The offer includes the dress & belt only. Please read the product description for size, material, and other information.
Product information
This linen dress is inspired by the early medieval Birka dress – a staple of Viking Age women's attire. Slavic women also wore similar dresses, often adorned with embroidery and trim.
Our version is a modern interpretation of the dress worn during rituals associated with the beginning and end of the Slavic harvest.
- The authentic early medieval cut gives the body of the dress a classic, straight line, complemented by two gussets on the sides that beautifully widen the dress from the waist, giving it a flowing appearance.
- Modern sleeves are sewn in to ensure a perfect fit to the figure - they taper towards the wrists, without creating folds and giving a neat, aesthetic look.
- The front of the dress is decorated with machine embroidery of wildflowers.
Thanks to its versatility, this dress is also suitable for LARPs, Renaissance fairs, medieval markets, stylized photo shoots, and weddings.
The product is machine-sewn, with edges overlocked in our workshop in Otwock, Poland. Each piece is made to order.
