Product information

This early medieval linen cap/bonnet is a modern interpretation of a silk bonnet from Jorvik, discovered during archaeological excavations. Later finds of fabric fragments suggest that similar headwear was also made of linen. Such bonnets were worn by members of all social classes, including children, as they effectively protected from the sun and helped keep hair in place while working.

This product is machine-sewn in our workshop in Otwock, Poland. Each product is made to order.

  • High-quality confirmed by the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certificate. The linen comes from Belarusian crops.
