Product information
This early medieval linen dress is a perfect base layer for a historical reenactment of a wealthy Scandinavian or Slavic woman. Traditionally, additional layers and accessories were worn over it to indicate high social status.
- The authentic early medieval cut gives the body of the dress a classic, straight line, complemented by two gussets on the sides that beautifully widen the dress from the waist, giving it a flowing appearance.
- Historical sleeves provide comfort and freedom of movement thanks to square gussets sewn under the arms, widening the upper part of the dress. The sleeves taper slightly towards the wrists.
- The round neckline is adorned with handmade embroidery, which takes approximately 2 hours of continuous work – a detail that speaks volumes about the high status and skill of the craftsman.
This dress is a perfect choice for Viking and Slavic reenactments, medieval fairs, and LARPs. It's a timeless piece that combines historical accuracy with elegance.
The product is machine-sewn, with edges overlocked in our workshop in Otwock, Poland. Each piece is made to order.
